NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF A DRAFT EIS/R FOR PUBLIC REVIEW
US Fish and Wildlife Service and Placer County have released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Report (EIS/R) for the project listed below:
PROPOSED PROJECT: Placer County Conservation Program (PEIR 20050226) State Clearinghouse No. 2005032050
PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT PERIOD: June 21, 2019 to August 20, 2019
PROJECT LOCATION: Western Placer County
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Placer County Conservation Program (PCCP) is a comprehensive, regional program designed to provide long-term conservation and management of natural communities, sensitive species, and the habitats upon which those species depend, while accommodating other important uses of the land. The PCCP comprises three integrated program components: The Western Placer County Habitat Conservation Plan and Natural Community Conservation Plan; The Western Placer County Aquatic Resources Program; and, The Western Placer County In Lieu Fee Program.
SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS
Draft EIS/R identified potentially significant project impacts with respect to agricultural and forestry resources; air quality, greenhouse gases and climate change; cultural and paleontological resources; hydrology and water quality; noise and vibration; and transportation and circulation. All other impacts are identified as having no impact, a less than significant impact, or would be mitigable to less-than-significant levels.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
The following public hearings will be held during the public review period to receive comments on the Draft EIS/R:
August 8, 2019 – Placer County Planning Commission, 3091 County Center Drive, Auburn, California. Meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. The Placer County Planning Commission meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m.; however, the proposed project is not time certain. WHERE DRAFT EIR MAY BE REVIEWED
The Draft EIS/R is available for review during normal business hours at the Auburn Public Library at 350 Nevada Street, the Lincoln Public Library at 485 Twelve Bridges Drive, the Granite Bay Public Library at 6475 Douglas Boulevard, the Penryn Public Library at 2215 Rippey Road, the Placer County Community Development Resource Center at 3091 County Center Drive in Auburn, and the County Clerk’s Office at 2954 Richardson Drive in Auburn.
